We’re excited to announce the launch of our new website today.
In early March of this year, we acquired some new products for our company, including a website builder and eCommerce platform, an eBay research tool and an eBay listing tool. Since then we’ve been working on integrating them in with our existing products and services. We have also gone through a rebranding of our company to better reflect who we are and what we offer our customers. Our new website reflects these changes.
One thing that has been particularly enjoyable for me is to build out our new website using our own Builder tool. Because we are not selling tangible products on our website, I was able to use our eSB Builder Lite product to build out our site.
At eSilverBullet, we are big fans of “eating our own dog food.” That means as much as possible, we use our own tools when we do online marketing for ourselves and our customers. So when it came time to redo our website, I had one of our designers create the templates, upload them into our Builder, and then turn me loose to add all the content.
It did two things for me. One, it really helped me understand our new Builder tool better than I would have otherwise, and it showed me just what a powerful, yet easy tool it is to use. I figured any website builder that was CEO-proof (i.e. easy enough for a CEO to build an entire corporate website from, with minimal help from the technical staff), was indeed a good builder I’d be comfortable selling.
The result: it more than met my expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and you can see for yourself how well it turned out. I especially appreciated being able to edit multiple pages at once, view each page after I had edited them, and make use of the exhaustive help text throughout.
